No. Switching to a SasaAfya device is free, with no upfront cost, so you can get onboarded and start monitoring your condition without any initial expense.

Do I need the internet to use the device?

Yes. Taking a reading works offline, but sending it to the app and your care team needs an internet connection. You don't need Wi-Fi or manual Bluetooth pairing, the app connects to your device seamlessly in the background, and it's built to still get your data through securely even on a weak or low-bandwidth signal, fully encrypted in transit.

Is my health data private and safe?

Absolutely. We are fully compliant with Kenyan data protection laws. Your data is encrypted and only accessible to you and your authorized healthcare providers.

What conditions do you support?

We currently support Diabetes (glucose monitoring) and Hypertension (blood pressure monitoring), with more chronic condition management tools coming soon.
